Pair Grid

Pairs are one-on-one instruction provided by a tutor who is matched with a student.  Literacy agencies typically provide pair instruction as part of a state ABE and/or state literacy database, and student instructional hours earned in a pair are reportable to the NRS.  Independent literacy agencies may also report pair instructional hours taught by a tutor and earned by a student as part of their state or literacy reporting.

When you first sign in to LACES NexGen and click the Pair area link, the default view is the Pair List view.  The default filter is Active.

Shared views are predefined and are available on a dropdown list that displays at the top left of the pair grid.  There are five shared views.  The default view is Pair List, which displays columns on the grid that provide at-a-glance information about the pair status and start date, as well as student and tutor name and program information.  The view may be changed by selecting a different view from the list.  This view will be in effect until you change it, even if you leave the pair grid temporarily by clicking on a different tab, and then return to the pair grid.   For more information about views, go to View Manager.
