Printing

At the main areas, records on the grid may be printed after first exporting to CSV.

CSV stands for Comma Separated Value and is a common file type that allows data to be saved in any spreadsheet program.  The CSV export file will open with Excel, if Excel is installed on your computer.  CSV does not support formatting or formulas, so if you wish to add formulas, background color to rows or cells, or change the font in your spreadsheet, you can save the file as an Excel Workbook. In Excel, select 'Save As' from the File menu item.  Enter a file name, then select 'Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)' from the 'Save as Type' dropdown list, and click 'Save.'   In Excel, the file may also be saved as a PDF file.

Search windows may be printed by clicking the print icon in the upper right corner.  Detail record tabs, panels, and grid records may be printed by clicking the Print toolbar in the detail record.

When printing from a detail record, the header and any opened panels will be included in the print.

Note that print pages are separate windows and may be moved.  For example, you may want to open a student’s fiscal year summary report, and then compare the information in the summary to the student record.  The fiscal year summary record itself cannot be moved.  Click the Print icon on the summary to display the print page, and then close the summary window.  The print window can be moved away from the application while allowing you to open tabs and panels in the student record.
